Renata Berta Saumell

Renata Berta Saumell is an architect, landscape architect, and multidisciplinary artist, currently a doctoral researcher in Experimental Research through Design, Art, and Technologies. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Her work explores relationships between body, territory, materiality, and time through design-driven and artistic research methodologies. She has over ten years of experience in collective territorial practices in South America and has taught architecture and landscape-related courses at university level. Her current research focuses on dynamic alpine environments, operational images, and methodological permeability.
