Bio
Daein Cheong
Daein Cheong is an architect (HMONP) and a lecturer at Wenzhou-Kean University Michael Graves College of Public Architecture, China. He runs Studio Punctum, an architectural practice based in Seoul. He completed his HMONP certification, Master’s degree, and Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at ENSA Paris-Malaquais. He previously worked at Mass Studies in Seoul under Minsuk Cho and at Mésarchitecture in Paris under Didier Faustino. His research explores vision, visual perception, and experimental apparatuses in architecture through design-driven research, architectural fiction, and image-based methods, investigating how habitual modes of seeing can be suspended and reconfigured.
