Bio
Diana Gouveia Amaral
Diana Gouveia Amaral is an architect and PhD researcher at the University of Minho and at KU Leuven. She is a member of the transdisciplinary research groups Lab2PT and Urban Projects, Collective Spaces and Local Identities since 2021. Her research, funded by FCT, addresses the interrelationship between façades and the urban scale, contributing to a reflection on the dynamics between architecture and urbanism. She graduated from the School of Architecture of the UMinho (2017), and began her professional career in participatory projects and urban and mobility planning (2017–2019). Between 2019 and 2021, she worked in façade engineering, an experience that informs her research approach by combining technical, detail-oriented knowledge with a broader understanding of the urban scale.
