Bio
Alma Grossen
Alma Grossen is a Swiss-Hungarian architect and media researcher based in Ghent and Berlin, currently pursuing a PhD in Architecture at KU Leuven. She holds an MSc. in Architecture from TU Berlin and has had more than 5 years experience in various roles across architecture, media and academia, working for employers such as O&O Baukunst, GRAFT and ETH. At the architectural office O&O Baukunst she was responsible for large-scale urban design projects, such as Siemensstadt 2.0 and Freie Uferhallen Berlin. At GRAFT she edited the GRAFT Journal, researching hybrid innovation within the architectural world. As a writer, she co-founded the poetry magazine Das Föhtong, writing collectively about the city. As a violinist and polyglot, she became aware of the background hidden behind the shifting objects of imagination.
