Vija Viese
Vija Viese is an urban designer and PhD researcher at NTNU, focusing on community-led flood adaptation through environmental care. Vija has an established experience in practice, ranging from strategic masterplans to detailed flood-adapted urban furniture, where she has built a robust understanding of flood risk dynamics. In addition, she is engaged in work on scientific climate activism and critical approaches to knowledge production. She is an active member of City Space Architecture – a non-profit focused on public space culture. In this role, she manages an e-learning platform, coordinates social media streams, facilitates webinars with established professionals, organises international workshops, participates in research projects and mentorship programs, and writes funding proposals.
