Anđelka Bnin-Bninski, PhD is educated as an architect engineer with specializations in theory of arts and media (University of Arts, Belgrade) and architectural philosophy (ENSA Paris-La Villette, Paris). She works as an educator, curator and researcher, affiliated with the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture on the position of research associate, and she associated with laboratory Grephau in Paris. She represents University of Belgrade in the ARENA architectural research network. Her overall approach includes multi- inter- and trans-disciplinary practice engaged in dynamic connections between research and architectural design. She holds experience as practicing architect, as an author and member of design teams and has multiple collaborations with the independent artistic scene in Belgrade. Her twelve-year teaching experience is related to studio design, methodological courses on bachelor and master levels and invited lectures and workshops on doctoral studies. She curates the international drawing research program at the Kolektiv gallery in Belgrade. Her present investigations are focused on tactics of architectural drawing research regarding the critical and ethical approach to architectural design.

Boštjan Botas Kenda is a full professor and scientific advisor for visual communication at the University of Ljubljana. He graduated from the IED in Milan, Italy. He teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, and the Faculty of Architecture. He is the founder and partner of studioobotas, an award-winning graphic design studio specializing in book design and signage in public spaces.He chaired the commission for the preparation of a document on the national strategy in the field of design. He served as Vice Rector for Art and Creativity at the University of Ljubljana and as Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. Botas is a co-founder of the multidisciplinary summer school Design+Science. He co-founded the Design+Science learning community within EUTOPIA, a network of European universities. He is involved in the development of a practice-based doctoral program through European university initiatives such as CA²RE, ADAPT-r (PRS), and the doctoral program in the arts at the University of Ljubljana.

Riccarda Cappeller is an architect, author, visual sociologist and curator working across design research, processes of urban transformation, spatial practices and artistic creation. From 2018 to 2026 she was assistant professor at the Chair for Territorial Design, Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) and developed international workshops for the Circular Design Innovation Alliance (CiD), MA Coop Design Research Dessau, ETSAV Barcelona, UNIVPM Ancona, ETSAB Barcelona among others. Her awarded doctoral dissertation, Cooperative Architecture (2024), frames architecture as a performative practice and proposes new methods for grasping urban contexts and creating spatial experiences. Further work includes publications with Politik & Kultur, Baunetz, and IBA Thüringen, curatorial projects and short films.

Sabine Hansmann is an architectural theorist working at the intersection of architectural theory, architectural anthropology, and design research. Trained as an architect, she studied in Stuttgart and Tokyo and received her PhD from Technische Universität Berlin in 2019 with a dissertation exploring the potential of Actor-Network Theory for architectural understandings of space. She has taught and conducted research at HafenCity University Hamburg, TU Berlin, TU Braunschweig, Bauhaus Dessau, and the Manchester Architecture Research Group. Her work investigates the socio-material production of space and develops ethnographic approaches to architectural research. She is currently Acting Professor for Architecture, Space and Society at HafenCity University Hamburg and will take up the position of Acting Professor of Architectural Theory at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in April 2026.

Irati Irulegi is Idensitat’s coordinator of projects. She has a degree in Art History from the University of Barcelona (2010). She holds a postgraduate degree in Exteriorism, Events and Ephemeral spaces from Elisava and a Master of The Dutch Art Institute, DAI (2017-2019). She considers mediating and curating as part of the artistic process, understanding it as a collaborative work with artists, related to a contextual framework.

Thierry Lagrange graduated from the University of Ghent with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering Architecture (1993) and earned a PhD, Look Here Now, Mapping Design Trajectories, in 2013 at KU Leuven, Faculty of Architecture. He is a professor at KU Leuven, Faculty and Department of Architecture, and a practising architect since 1997, running the office ALT architectuur. He teaches architectural design (master dissertation studio The Double Look and master studio Care-ful Architecture) at KU Leuven. He also heads the Architecture & Design research division. In his current Design Driven Research, he develops so-called Analogous Spaces, where intangible and mental elements become explicit.

Enrico Miglietta is an architect with a double PhD in Architectural, Urban and Interior Design (Politecnico di Milano) and in Architecture (KU Leuven). He is a Research Associate at KU Leuven, Department of Architecture. In 2024, he co-founded Atelier Vetia with Arch. Briselda Calliku—critical reflective practice bridging professional, academic, and research experiences. Their work focuses on dwelling, exhibition design, and architectural restoration, with particular attention to reuse and heritage enhancement. Since 2016, he has taught in design studios and international workshops at Politecnico di Milano, KU Leuven, and Università Iuav di Venezia, focusing on preservation and regeneration of the European city’s cultural heritage.

Claus Peder Pedersen is an architect and professor whose research is grounded in design methodologies and Research through Design as critical tools for advancing architectural knowledge. His work explores how architecture operates across scales—from material assemblies to urban infrastructures—through an investigation of media, representation, and form. He is particularly interested in how design processes and the use of representational tools (both analog and digital) shape spatial thinking, inform aesthetic and experiential outcomes, and contribute to interdisciplinary research contexts.He is currently Professor MSO in Research by Design and Head of the PhD School at the Aarhus School of Architecture.

Ramón Perramón is an associate professor and researcher at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. He is the head of the Department of Visual Arts and Design (2025–). He is also the director and founder of IDENSITAT (1999–), a collective project through which he develops his research practice as an artist and cultural manager. His research focuses on the interrelation between artistic practices and social space, with particular emphasis on collaborative methodologies and context‑driven pedagogical frameworks.

Jörg Schröder is an architect and urban planner, full professor for Territorial Design and Urban Planning at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH), and Dean for Research of the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape. His focus is on urbanism for sustainable transition, circularity, design research, and territorial innovation. He is the coordinator of the Circular Design Innovation Alliance (CiD), funded by the European Union. Further projects include reCITYing and CFC in the EU Creative Europe Programme.

Jo Van Den Berghe is a Belgian architect with a critical reflective practice since 1986. He graduated from Sint-Lucas School of Architecture (1984) and was a collaborator of Juliaan Lampens Architect (1984-2019). His work has been selected for the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2012 and 2016. He obtained a practice-based PhD (RMIT University Melbourne 2012) and teaches experimental architectural design (Studio Anatomy (www.studio-anatomy.org) at KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture), researching the tension field between Techné and Poiesis in making architecture (the poetics of making) through innovative drawing methods. For Van Den Berghe the moment of drawing is the locus of investigation. He has been the program director of KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture (2017-2022), and a visiting professor at Politecnico di Milano, EPFL Lausanne, Queen’s University Belfast, RMIT University Barcelona.

Liselotte Vroman is an architect and research fellow at KU Leuven Department of Architecture. She obtained her interdisciplinary PhD Make Room for Play: Questioning the Role of the Moving Body between Thinking and Making (2021) at KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture. Her research explores how (urban) design influences human behaviour and embodied experience, focusing on movement, play, and spatial interaction. Since 2011, she has contributed to a wide range of educational programs and workshops at KU Leuven, the School of Arts Ghent, and Howest University of Applied Sciences Kortrijk. Her work has been published internationally, bridging architecture, urban design, dance, and movement science.

Tadeja Zupančič is a professor at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Architecture. She is Vice-Dean for research, teaches, supervises PhD-s/post- PhD-s, coordinates EU projects and the doctoral programme at the faculty. She studied architecture at UL and finished her Ph.D. in 1995. Her Ph.D. was a manifesto in favour of urban university integration. Her actual main research themes are promoting practice-based and research through design within the integral research tradition in architecture. Her interests are also the cultural dimensions of sustainability and public participation in urban design as an opportunity for life-long action-based learning of all the actors involved. She represents Slovenia in the evaluations of architectural diplomas (Subgroup for Architecture / Group of Coordinators for the Recognition of Professional Qualifications / European Commission). After the eCAADe presidency period (2017-19) she continued as Vice-President of eCAADe (Education and Research in Computer Aided Architectural Design in Europe; 2019-21). She is leading the Erasmus+ strategic partnership CA²RE+ (Collective Evaluation of Design-driven Doctoral Training), which supports the CA²RE community (Conference for Artistic and Architectural Research).
